If the beach is closer to your idea of romantic, Santa Monica has a lot to offer including strolls on the beach or the pier, where there are plenty of games and a roller coaster that still works. The Girl and the Goat is a great spot to stop for brunch, while Bestia offers high-end Italian, and Cha, Cha, Cha is a rooftop award-winning Mexican restaurant that requires a reservation. Try the Museum of Architecture and Design for a new exhibit and the Hauser and Wirth Art Complex for modern art industrial designs.
